Bhanu Choudhrie to extend C&C Alpha Group’s investments in the UAE

Bhanu Choudhrie is a prominent person in the business industry. He hails from the famous business family, Choudhrie clan. According to Forbes, the British-Indian businessperson has a net worth of $2 billion. His soft voice has a powerful impact because he is the leader of the family’s business, C&C Alpha Group. Bhanu took over the leadership of the company from his father Sudhir, the prominent donor, and arms dealer. Liberal Democrats political party is one of Sudhir’s beneficiaries.

According to Bhanu Choudhrie, his primary role in C&C is to provide investment strategies to the subsidiaries under the company’s umbrella. The company that started operations in 2002 comprises of businesses that have existed in venture funding business for over three decades. Under the leadership of Bhanu Choudhrie, the company has spread its wings to the United Arab Emirates. The first partnership Alpha and other companies in the UAE is aviation by supplying the airlines with pilots. Air Arabia benefits from Alpha Aviation Academy in Sharjah by acquiring thoroughly trained pilots. Choudhrie notes that the company would extend its training programs to the Philippines in line with the growing demands of pilots. The move would increase the number of trainees from the 120 in UAE to 500 more in the Philippines.

Another area that C&C Alpha Group invests heavily in the UAE is water desalinization in Sharjah. Bhanu Choudhrie plans to increase the water output of Seawater Reverse Osmosis Desalination plant. He would raise the production from 500,000 to 2million gallons daily. The plan would make the supply to the Hamriyah Free Trade Zone Authority more effective. In the tourism industry, the company plans to invest more and add the number of hotels from the current 24 in the UAE.

Born in 1978, the Boston University graduate has achieved more than many businesspersons of age. Besides the mentorship from his father, the internship period at JP Morgan contributed tremendously to his success.
