The closing date for the Fortress Investment Group purchase by SoftBank was in December of 2017. Most of 2018 was spent incorporating the operations of the company into the global strategies of SoftBank. SoftBank is a company that is known for financing the information revolution and they recently created its Vision Fund. With the support of Fortress Investment Group and its financial knowledge, they hope to be able to maximize the capabilities of this fund in order to produce strong returns while advancing technology and potentially disrupting different industries.
