In 2019, Forbes released a list of the wealthiest individuals across the world, however the list dropped by three to 20 of African millionaires globally. This drop has been attributed to falling share prices held by these millionaires as well as the decrease in currency value of African countries. Only four billionaires amongst the 20 managed to keep their wealth constant from 2018.
